10% of myUsearch Profits Go to Scholarships

April 25, 2008 By: Category: Scholarships

myUsearch has just announced that 10% of the company’s profits will be directed to a scholarship program for students in need.  You might be asking, is this just another marketing ploy?  The answer is NO.  Believe it or not, we really do care, seriously.  If it weren’t for a sports scholarship, the founder of myUsearch never would have had the chance to go to college.  So who is eligible for these scholarships?

The program is designed to help three different kinds of students:

1) Nontraditional students including working adults and adult first-time college seekers

2) Students pursuing emerging degrees including Graphic Design, Game Art and Design, Web Design and Multimedia, Computer Networking and Information Systems Security

3) Students attending nontraditional schools, such as online, vocational, technical and career colleges and universities

How did we come up with these scholarships?

Through our research, we’ve found that there are very few scholarships available for nontraditional students.  And many of the scholarships that are available are just marketing ploys from companies trying to collect students’ contact info.

How can you help us offer more scholarships?

It’s simple.  Just start using our free college match service and tell all of your friends to do the same.  So, yes, it is a bit of a marketing ploy.  But if people complete our questionnaire, then we’ll have money to offer scholarships.  More people searching our site = More scholarships.  Brilliant isn’t it.

To apply for the myUsearch scholarships, students must meet the requirements of the scholarships available and complete the myUsearch questionnaire.  Further information about the scholarships can be found at http://www.myusearch.com/Public/Scholarships/index.cfm
